Certified SCAMPI℠ Lead Appraiser (People CMM®)

Organizations around the world work diligently to achieve excellence in human capital management based on the People CMM’s benchmark practices. When they are ready to measure their accomplishments against the People CMM, they call a Lead Appraiser to determine their capability or maturity level.

CMMI Institute-certified Lead Appraisers work with thousands of organizations to confirm and publicize their accomplishments using the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI).

CMMI Institute-Certified SCAMPI Lead Appraisers (SCAMPI LAs) lead trained teams of professionals in the appraisal of one or more People CMM process areas (using information collected from presentations, documents, and interviews) to determine an organization’s process capability and/or maturity level.

Whether working inside an organization as a Team Leader or as an external Lead Appraiser, CMMI appraisers serve a vital role to maintaining the vitality of CMMI-based improvement.
