There will be six tracks for this conference. Please submit your paper that connects to one of the following topics:

Track Overview - This track is for those already on their capability journey and features case studies from organizations who have delivered successful products or projects while using the CMMI. We're looking for specific examples with lessons learned, measurable results, and examples of how your advanced capability improved the outcome.

Submitter - Select this track to submit a presentation that will provide actionable and valuable information, approaches or techniques to people who have already adopted the CMMI, and are looking for ways to accelerate that adoption in their organizations and gain greater capability. Submit Now.

Track Overview - This track is for those with advanced skills in capability management and improvement. It will focus on how organizations leverage their capability, outpace the competition, and demonstrate best practices.

Submitter - Select this track to submit a presentation that provides a CMMI-savvy audience with advanced or innovative process improvement approaches that they can implement in their home organizations to measurably increase organizational performance and capability. Submit Now.

Track Overview - Whether it’s your first appraisal or a reappraisal that you’re planning or involved with, come learn from experienced professionals who will share their knowledge and help you and your organization plan and conduct high-value appraisals. You’ll learn techniques and approaches that will help save your organization time and money, and get better quality appraisals and results.

Submitter - Select this track to submit a presentation on CMMI appraisals, which can include first-time appraisals or reappraisals. Please do not submit a presentation to sell an appraisal or appraisal-related tool. Submit Now.

Track Overview - Features presentations on CMMI adoption and capability improvement in specific industry sectors. (e.g. Aerospace and Defense, Banking and Finance, IT, and Research, etc.)

Submitter - Select this track and industry sector to submit a presentation that highlights your expertise in that area. Submit Now.

Track Overview - Features presentations that enable CMMI adopters to integrate their CMMI adoption and implementation with other models, standards, bodies of knowledge, and methods. (e.g. ISO-based standards, Agile, PMBoK, and ITIL)

Track Overview - Features presentations on topics that would appeal to professionals who are pursuing careers within specific disciplines. This track is focused on professional discipline adoption of CMMI (e.g. Software Development and Agile, Process Design and Development, Program and Project Management, and Workforce Development and Training).

Deadline for submission: 1 November 2016

Selection Process:

  • All presentations submitted to the Call for Participation will be reviewed by CMMI Institute staff as well as the program committee members.
  • Submissions will be reviewed in alignment with the timeline for submission.
  • You will hear by the end of December if you have been accepted to present.
  • Selected presenters will receive further instructions upon their acceptance.
  • All speakers will be provided a special presenter rate for registration and are responsible for their own travel expenses.
  • The deadline to accept your speaking slot and paid speaker registration is 13 January 2017.

Presentation Details:
If your presentation is selected you will:

  • Present for 30 minutes, allowing some time for questions and answers with attendees.
  • Create a PowerPoint slide deck (template will be provided to presenters which they will be required to use).
  • Submit your final PowerPoint presentation by 15 April 2017. This is the deadline. *Please note that the final presentation submitted is what will be presented during the conference.
