Presentation Title: Spin And Re-Spin A Web To Catch All Possible Bugs: A New Way To Build And Continuously Refine A Process Performance Model
Presentation Summary: For many safety critical systems, any major defect could lead to disaster. In practical sense, the goal to eventually achieve 0-defect is not only desirable but also necessary. In this presentation, we discuss a new approach to build and continuously refine a process performance model – a bug catching web, which allow us to identify defects thought development lifecycle and remedy the holes/paths that allow bugs to escape. The web links all important process and product quality attributes together and presents a clear overall picture that can support assessing risk of defect leakage as well as managing quality control work.
