Presentation Title: Bringing estimation predictability in Managed Services support engagements

Professional Discipline: Project Management

Presentation Summary: In today's IT industry, outsourcing in managed services mode has become a prevalent trend. A major part of this involves supporting and maintaining multiple business portfolios with large application set. This has posed a critical challenge of estimating the huge manpower involved. The estimation is a key ask both from clients for budgeting and vendors for people management. Hence a holistic estimation approach considering all contributing factors was required which was lacking in the industry. This presentation would describe a comprehensive, predictable and parametric estimation framework which will estimate / validate required effort and FTEs for multi-application L1/L2/L3 support projects.
