Presentation Title: Applying CMMI-DEV ML3 to an Agile Factory: a culture shock or a great combination?
Professional Discipline: Software Developer
Presentation Summary: Last year, I was approached by a software Agile "factory" of 300+ people to discuss how a Maturity Level 3 project could be engaged and aimed at a formal SCAMPI A appraisal. The factory's team showed great skepticism at the idea of applying CMMI to their work. After 6 days of gap analysis, it turned out that CMMI discipline and standard process management was hitting a number of points of frustration and expectations by the same team! The ML3 project is now underway, and we believe it will help the organization cope with rapid growth and its challenges.
