Track: Professional Disciplines: Best Practices

Presentation Title: Holacracy: Abolish hierarchy while leveraging CMMI to Radically change your organization

Presentation Summary: Introduced in Brian Robertson's revolutionary book, "Holacracy," Holacracy is a management style that replaces managers with self-organizing teams along with a constitutionally controlled governance structure. Most famously adopted by Zappos, Holacracy is a decentralized and disciplined behavioral model that can be thought of as "Agile for Organizations," and requires crisp authorities, roles, and domains to be defined - making CMMI the perfect model to serve as its foundation. The speaker will describe his own company's journey to successful Holacracy adoption, which led to a dramatic increase in revenues and an empowered and more productive workforce.
