Jeff Gorball is currently a Managing Director at Kingland Systems Corporation, responsible for the consulting practice around data management maturity (DMM) supporting Kingland's clients. Mr. Gorball introduced the concept of a data management maturity model to the strategic partnership that ultimately developed the DMM Model. He has been on the DMM working group since its inception, becoming the first non-CMMI Institute member to obtain accreditation on the Model by the CMMI Institute (steward of the DMM Model) to consult on and conduct workshops on the Model.

Presentation Title: Implementing a Mature Data Management Program

Presentation Summary: This session will help audience members understand the components of a mature data management program and learn the steps and activities necessary to enable their organization to leverage their critical data as a trusted asset. It will teach the participants, through lessons from others and interaction, what is necessary by walking through each phase from scoping through implementation and measuring results. Attendees will also learn how determine the current state of data management at their organization and use that information to leverage existing activities during improvement and implementation initiatives.
