Kileen Harrison is a Chief Technologist with Booz Allen Hamilton, specializing in Process Improvement. She has a Masters of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University and over 20 years of experience in the industry. Throughout her career, Kileen has played key leadership roles in the development, documentation, maintenance, and implementation of process to enable projects and organizations to achieve their process improvement goals. Her experience includes working with external clients as well as ensuring that Booz Allen Hamilton maintains its CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 3 rating.
Kileen is the Deputy Project Manager for Booz Allen’s current CMMI High Maturity Initiative. She is an authorized SCAMPI B&C Team Lead for CMMI-DEV, CMMI-ACQ, and CMMI-SVC, and a certified instructor for Introduction to CMMI, Acquisition Supplement, and Services Supplement. She is a trained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ITIL Foundation Certified, and a Certified ScrumMaster.

Presentation Summary: All process improvement journeys have their unique challenges. When we embarked on our High Maturity journey, we knew it would be challenging, but as the obstacles surfaced, they were different than expected. Quickly we learned that along with the technical complexities of high maturity, it was imperative to continue to manage the basics: people, process, training /tools, and culture. Critical insights will be shared from our lessons learned, including managing and taking credit for false starts, balancing the sense of urgency with implementation pressures, changing the mindset of the Measurement Analyst, and avoiding Maturity Level 3 pitfalls.
