At Broadsword, Laura works with clients to manage their process improvement programs, interpret the CMMI-DEV model, and design and deploy processes using Broadsword's AgileCMMI methodology. Presentation Title: The Buy-In Effect: How Getting Alignment Can Get Your CMMI Adoption UnStuck
Presentation Summary: In this presentation, I offer a case study of a company in the health care industry that had gotten stuck in their CMMI adoption, and needed a turn-around. After devoting a large amount of time and resources documenting processes, the organization was not successful in their quest for an appraisal. Bidding opportunities were subsequently lost, frustration mounted, and the team stopped embracing or adopting the processes. Companies that have done a lot of work on their CMMI adoption, only to become stalled, will learn how to get unstuck and move forward on a rapid timeline toward their CMMI goals.
