Track: CMMI Appraisals: Best Practices
Presentation Title: "Leaning" Appraisals
Presentation Summary: By applying Lean concepts to CMMI appraisal performance we have been able to make significant improvements in appraisal preparation and performance. These include better and more effective Practice Implementation Indicator Documents (PIIDs), better ownership acceptance, smaller appraisal teams, better appraisal results, and less appraisal time overall.
These have been achieved by performing appraisals in a very collaborative manner and through facilitated sessions that collect and evaluate the data in real-time. During this presentation the participants will be provided with actual examples and measurement results from the multiple appraisals that have been performed in many parts of the world.
