Presentation Title: Beyond SCAMPI – Assessing an Organization’s Real Capability
Presentation Summary: People place too much weight on SCAMPIs and the value of SCAMPI results, and often believe that a maturity level rating is a proxy for “success!” But a SCAMPI only measures an organization’s process performance against the CMMI, and does not reveal anything about the underlying business dimensions that are critical to capability. In this presentation, Mr. West presents his appraisal approach that yields more meaningful information about an organization’s true capability by appraising process “ilities,” defined-performed process fidelity, process integration, improvement capabilities, and improvement culture.
