Paul E. McMahon (firstname.lastname@example.org) has been an independent consultant for 18 years (www.pemsystems.com) helping organizations improve their development and management performance. Prior to his independent work Paul acquired twenty-four years of experience as a software developer, project manager and coach working for Link Simulation and Lockheed Martin. He has taught Software Engineering at Binghamton University and published more than 50 articles on software development and management.
McMahon is the author of several books including 15 Fundamentals for Higher Performance in Software Development, and Integrating CMMI and Agile Development. He is a co-author of the book, The Essence of Software Engineering.
McMahon is a Certified ScrumMaster, a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, current Vice-President of SEMAT, Incorporated, a non-profit organization founded to further the vision of SEMAT (www.semat.org) and the Essence Kernel. Paul is also a Senior Consulting Partner at Software Quality Center, a CMMI Institute Partner. On the personal performance side McMahon is a competitive runner having completed 16 marathons, including ten Boston Marathons.
