Presentation Title: Establishing State Capability: Process Excellence Isn't Just for Vendors
Presentation Summary: State governments are large consumers of CMMI maturity credentials from vendors and organizations during procurement processes and during delivery of large-scale projects. However, State agencies can realize greater benefits by directly establishing and managing internal process capability and requiring vendors to comply with, and use the internal/state set of standard processes instead of leveraging various and disparate vendor standards. States are beginning to see the value of internal process excellence, and our presentation will show the approach and results from one such implementation.
