This course will teach you how to use the DMM model to become more proficient in your management of critical data and to provide a consistent and comparable benchmark for regulatory authorities in your efforts to control operational risk.

This three day course introduces the themes, categories, and process areas of the DMM, and provides insights on the benefits of using the DMM, obstacles encountered in implementing data management, and lessons learned from data management programs.
This course will benefit data management professionals, business data management sponsors, and anyone who wants to learn more about data management and synthesize a holistic perspective and approach to this broad and complex subject.

The course is composed of lectures and class exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and discussions.
Successful completion of this course requires that participants actively participate in classroom discussions and exercises in all three days, not missing any classroom time. This course fulfills a prerequisite requirement for advanced DMM courses and is part of the certification path for the Enterprise Data Management Expert (EDME) certification.
Data Management Maturity Introduction course does not require any specific preparation.
