CMMI® Instructional Methods
CMMI® Instructional Methods equips CMMI Institute Certified Instructors to teach current introductory courses while using research-based instructional best practices.
All current versions of CMMI Institute courses are built on proven learner-centered design principles. CMMI Instructional Methods, as it enables understanding and best uses of these principles, is a prerequisite for any CMMI instructor who would like to deliver current courses.

Completion of this two-day best-practices workshop course allows participants a deep understanding of learner-centered instructional strategies as related to the design and usage of all course activities in current (version 1.3) CMMI courses. Course participants learn how best to leverage course materials, exercises, and, of most import, potential for driving students to concept mastery and ability to improve organizational capability.
Not only does this course add value to instructors who are updating from course version 1.2 to 1.3, it also serves as the transitional (methods) training that students will eventually need to take prior to teaching CMMI Institute’s next generation of training offerings.
Students for this course must be either a CMMI Institute-certified Introduction to CMMI for Development Instructor in good standing, or an approved candidate for the Introduction to CMMI for Services Instructor credential.
CMMI® Instructional Methods is built into the CMMI Instructor Training Course, and is offered as a supplement only for already certified CMMI Instructors.
You must be able to read, write, and speak understandable English. You will not pass this course if you cannot demonstrate this requirement. If you are a non-native English speaker, we strongly recommend that you provide your TOEFL score as demonstration of this prerequisite. Throughout the course, you will be required to present technical concepts in English. Successful completion of this course is dependent upon your class participation and presentations that will be evaluated for skill and comprehension.
Completion of any pre-class work that may be assigned is required.
