People CMM® Instructor Training
The People CMM model is used to attract, motivate, and retain talented technical staff in organizations around the world. The success of People CMM adoption relies heavily on the education of its users—as a People CMM Instructor, you will help individuals and organizations get started on the path to success.

This three-day course introduces those interested in becoming Certified Instructors of the Introduction to People CMM course to details of the People CMM and the Introduction to People CMM course. The candidate instructors must have an evident in-depth understanding of People CMM as well as effective teaching and facilitation skills to satisfactorily complete this course.
This course enables participants to:
- present and facilitate the Introduction to the People CMM course using common guidelines for interpreting the People CMM model
- demonstrate an in-depth understanding of People CMM model content
The course is composed of lectures, participant presentation of Introduction to People CMM course material, and work assignments that are completed before and during the week the course is offered.
Successful completion of this course is one step in the People CMM Instructor Certification path. Please refer to the People CMM Instructor certification page for more details.
Before registering for the People CMM Instructor Training course, students must have successfully done the following:
- completed a formal offering of the Introduction to People CMM course
- completed the Advancing Organizational Capability: Applying CMMI® course
- completed the application process to become a Certified Introduction to the People CMM instructor

You must be able to read, write, and speak understandable English. You will not pass this course if you cannot demonstrate this requirement. If you are a non-native English speaker, we strongly recommend that you provide your TOEFL score as demonstration of this prerequisite. Throughout the course, you will be required to present technical concepts in English. Successful completion of this course is dependent upon your class participation and presentations that will be evaluated for skill and comprehension.
Completion of any pre-class work that may be assigned is required. Your instructor will send any assignments to you in advance of the course.
