R&D Centre of Zen Technologies Limited incorporated in the year 1993, designs and develops state-of-the-art combat training solutions for the training of defence and security forces worldwide. It produces over 40 different Live Fire, Live Instrumented, Virtual and Constructive training systems to support individual and collective training capabilities. With a strong focus on in-house design and development, R&D unit has filed or received over 90 patents. OU i.e. Development projects at R&D Centre caters to development of these solutions using Agile approach.
Type of Work: OU primarily has 2 types of projects i.e. systems engineering projects (involving software, mechanical, electronics engineering) and only software engineering projects. Hence this was considered for sampling factor.
Customer: Primarily projects are executed for internal and external customers both. Hence this can have a bearing on process execution.
Internal: Projects catering to internal product development initiatives
External: Projects catering to the RFP based requirements coming from external customers
Software Engineering : This discipline includes only software development projects
Systems Engineering: This discipline includes projects which has mechanical, software and electronics engineering involved
