Project Description

The HQ USSF CSCO has two primary business lines. First, the COMSATCOM Solutions Branch provides COMSATCOM capabilities through standard and custom contracts including for transponder capacity, managed services and custom solutions. Second, the Enhanced Mobile Satellite Service (EMSS) Program Office provides unlimited access for unlimited users to the global commercial Iridium Communications, Inc., “Iridium”, low earth orbit constellation through ground infrastructure owned by the EMSS Program Office and operated by the complimentary EMSS Capabilities Office. Other vertically integrated functions within the HQ USSF CSCO include financial management, 24/7 customer support (automated ordering and customer support tools, helpdesk, etc.), operations management, equipment fulfilment, stakeholder and industry outreach, research and development, advanced satellite communications (SATCOM) services (including hosted payloads), technologies, solutions and architectures to ensure enhanced usage of COMSATCOM and its integration within the DoD SATCOM enterprise and broader telecommunications environment.  This contract is required to provide transformative, enhanced, comprehensive and integrated strategic and daily operational support services to the HQ USSF CSCO for purposes of facilitating business transformation and ensuring its dynamic and complex mission is met effectively and efficiently. This contract is also required to meet the objectives set forth by the AFSPC Space Enterprise Vision.
