The Control Technology Research Institute is responsible for software product research, planning, project management, requirement analysis, design, implementation, test, delivery, and maintenance of Robot Control Program (such as robot remote control program, robot on-board control program, robot crawler control program) for manufacture engineering department (hardware manufacturing) of the organization, and the end users of the final products are governmental agencies (fire department, rescue team and municipal administration department) . There are mainly three kinds of project, new software product development project, software product upgrading project, and after-sales service project (fixing bugs and solving errors). The General Management Department provides training support, the Quality Management Department provides process and performance improvement, quality assurance and configuration management support to the Control Technology Research Institute.
Type of Work: Projects are developed in the similar technology but Product Development Type (New product development and Product Upgrading) is different for projects. Different Product Development Types result in differences in processes, such as initiation, work product output and combination, work product review and monitoring activities, hence it is a relevant sampling factor.
