The R&D Department consists of the Product Management Centre, responsible for requirements and design and the Technology Centre, responsible for the development and testing, of technology solutions. Overall the department is responsible for the company's new products, new technology research, demonstration, development, design work. This includes the organisation and implementation of R&D planning; development of R&D specifications; implementation and optimisation of the R&D management system; the set-up of the company's technology platform and evaluation of investment in the platform; the management of the company's standard and patents (intellectual property) and the planning and implementing of relevant standards and applications for patents.
