OU Description

The R&D Department is responsible for process and performance improvement; quality assurance; configuration management; and software requirement analysis, design, implementation, test, delivery, maintenance, and project management of information management system for commercial customers. There are mainly three kinds of project, new software system development project, software product upgrading project, and post-delivery service project (fixing bugs and solving errors). The Management Department provides training support to the R&D Department.

Type of Work: Projects are developed in the similar technology but Product Development Type (New product development and Product Upgrading) is different for projects. Different Product Development Types result in differences in processes, such as initiation, work product output and combination, work product review and monitoring activities, hence it is a relevant sampling factor.
