SPEAKER PRESENTATION

CMMI V1.3 to CMMI V2.0 – Staying Green and Fully Implemented

Conference Track: CMMI Adoption – V2.0 Experiences

CMMI-DEV V2.0 at Level 3 seems like a small change from CMMI-DEV V1.3 at Level 3. We certainly thought we had all our bases well covered. This presentation will discuss how our group at SwRI went from a very successful, fully implemented, all green SCAMPI A Appraisal in 2017 to a “we thought we had it covered” multi-colored Evaluation Appraisal in 2019. We will show our before, our after and the method we used to transition from V1.3 to V2.1 in under 1 year. We still have work to do and will share the efforts we are taking to implement the improvements in time for our scheduled 2020 Benchmark Appraisal to maintain our CMMI-DEV Level 3 Appraisal.
