Analyze the past, Control the present, Predict the future”, CMMI High Maturity Practice (HMP) Models lead to continuous improvement, innovations, and practice industrializations. Here we summarize our empirical experience of successful HMP implementation in the application maintenance portfolio for a large, complex Insurance engagement. Here we achieved significant business benefits of ~25% effort reduction in 2 quarters through effective use of simulation based forecasting models for debt elimination, thus optimizing operational spend and meeting market needs for customer and reducing overall cost of delivery. Ease of adoption and extent of replication of the approach is its USP.
