The Building Development Excellence course, taught by W.R. Systems, Ltd., an Engineering Services Company, with over 15 years of experience using CMMI in engineering projects, builds on the Foundations course and provides instruction on how to use CMMI Development to build capability in developing or engineering products by providing a detailed view of the domain’s practice areas. It is geared to individuals/teams who are interested in improving business performance and who want to effectively assess, improve, and sustain process capability. Successful completion of this course, along with the Foundations of Capability course and the CMMI Associate exam allows the individual to participate as a CMMI-DEV Appraisal Team Member. 
This course may be taken immediately following the 2-day Foundations of Capability course.
