The CMMI Achieving High Maturity course, and related High Maturity exams are CMMI’s most complex and challenging; to navigate through them successfully requires a combination of training, hands-on High Maturity in-depth knowledge and experience.
Candidates should:
- Read the HMLA Certification Policy
- Have comprehensive experience and understanding of the entire CMMI model and appraisal method
- Be able to understand and explain the measurement, high maturity, and continuous performance improvement efforts in an organization talk to/explain and understand the “before and after” improvements performance results
Before applying to become a Certified High Maturity Lead Appraiser, you must:
Present evidence of having led at least 5 registered CMMI Benchmark or SCAMPI A Appraisals, 2 of which must be CMMI Benchmark Appraisals, and participated as an Appraisal Team Member on at least 2 CMMI High Maturity Benchmark appraisals.*
Successful completion of:
- High Maturity Concepts Course
- Advancing Organizational Capability: Achieving High Maturity course
Demonstrate 2 years of experience, within the last 5 years, working in a High Maturity process improvement environment in one of the following areas:
- Developing or facilitating High Maturity training at an organization.
- Statistical/quantitative management, or modeling and simulation experience in direct support of managing or building solutions, products, services, and supply chain
