Assuring Quality of Smart City and IIoT Systems: CMMI, COBIT and NIST Cybersecurity Framework

April 30

10:25 AM - 11:00 AM

As the big push continues towards connected devices in cars, homes and across services provided by municipalities and cities, the focus of quality shifts to a new realm. While systems enabling smart city features and supporting connected devices may not fit into the traditional definition of 'life threatening', today's reality changes that completely. The impact of failure points on systems supporting water supply, energy management, waste disposal and healthcare emergency management fall squarely into the realm of high-risk/high impact systems. Planning for quality, security and resilience of these systems requires a concerted approach - a harmonized reference model can enable this change.
