Agile Project Management and Microsoft TFS: An Innovative Approach to Quality

KeyLogic used a combination of an Agile project management framework and Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) to manage the transition from Waterfall to Agile in a CMMI-DEV ML3 organization while developing and delivering critical software to two Federal agencies and simultaneously achieving initial ISO 9001:2015 Certification. Results: All major success criteria objectives were met; Velocity – 566 Tasks Completed vs 606 Planned (93%), Utilization – 2311 Actual Hours vs 2039 Planned (113%), Risk Management – 41 Critical Risks/8 Medium Risks resolved on schedule (8 Sprints). KeyLogic continues to use this same framework for ongoing quality management.
