SPEAKER PRESENTATION

Agile or CMMI…Why Not Both?

Conference Track: CMMI: One Size DOES Fit All

Many organizations using Agile models like the Agile Performance Holarchy (APH), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and others are also interested in adopting CMMI to drive process improvement. A number of these organizations are under the assumption that Agile and CMMI cannot co-exist. However, this is far from the truth! Many of the Agile practices these models reference are in line with the intent of CMMI’s practices and practice areas. This session will focus on how models like the APH are compatible with the CMMI and how they can accelerate an Agile organization’s CMMI adoption efforts. Examples from the APH model will demonstrate how its structure compliments many of CMMI’s best practices.
