SPEAKER PRESENTATION

Utilizing CMMI to Navigate the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification for Small Businesses

Conference Track: Security

The new CMMC model framework from the Department of Defense consists of 18 best practice domains for cyber security. Within each Domain, there are capabilities which are comprised of practices and processes that should be implemented in organizations who are looking to achieve Levels 1 through 5 of maturity. Since this model framework is being developed and will be a requirement for 2020, it is important for Small Businesses to understand what is required and how existing frameworks, such as CMMI can help navigate new process and procedure refinement to comply with the CMMC.
