IBM is one of the first large IT organizations to be globally appraised on CMMI V2.0 for Maturity Level 5. This high complex appraisal involved 34,000+ employees, 500+ projects, across 6 global centers and 14 countries, and covered both traditional and new age projects. This transition has been highly enriching experience and demonstrated strength of the model especially in the context of projects in emerging delivery models and technologies. The presentation would be covering select experiences of quality transformation journey at IBM and how certain key practices are implemented in a practical way to drive continuous improvement and benefit to the business.
