SPEAKER PRESENTATION

Initial Building Blocks for V2.0

Conference Track: CMMI Adoption – V2.0 Experiences

As an organization is working through how to transition to CMMI V2.0 for the first time or from CMMI V1.3, there are basic activities that they should execute. It starts with transitional mapping. What external standards are your processes aligned with? Treat this activity similar to RDM. As you go through your mapping and gap analysis, use this as an opportunity to elevate those items in processes where teams have exhibited excellence in performance. You will identify big and minor gaps based on either newness to the model or previously identified gaps in execution. Use these areas to help better define your improvements/transition via PCM (ML3), while Improved Performance.
