About
Mariano is the founding partner of ProMove, a process improvement consultancy in Brazil. Mariano has more than 15 years of experience providing consultancy in the implementation of processes adhering to CMMI and agile practices. Mariano helped several organizations to successfully reach CMMI Maturity Level 5. Mariano has also experience in implementing gamification and process automation based on DevOps practices. Mariano holds a doctorate and master’s degrees in Systems Engineering and Computing from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is a SCAMPI Lead Appraiser for Development and Services, and certified Black Belt Lean Six-Sigma.

Conference Track: Methodology Integration
Organizations that adopt DevOps can achieve incredible results, such as, 208 times more frequent deployments, 106 times faster lead time from commit to deploy, and 7 times lower change failure rate [States for DevOps Report, 2019]. This work presents the DevOps implementation strategy adopted by three high maturity Brazilian organizations that achieved CMMI-DEV Level 5, including the relation between CMMI Engineering practices and DevOps practices, such as, BDD (Behavior Driven Development), TDD (Test Driven Development), Jenkins (Continuous Integration), and SONAR (Quality check). The processes performance and quality statistically significant results will also be presented.
