The CMMI Artificial Intelligence Maturity (AIM) Model (V4.0)
The CMMI Artificial Intelligence Maturity (AIM) Model reflects the dedication, expertise, and shared commitment of a remarkable global community of contributors. Building on the trusted CMMI approach to performance improvement, CMMI AIM was developed through the leadership and collaboration of more than 25 industry experts and members of the CMMI Artificial Intelligence (AI) Working Group, including executives, practitioners, instructors, Lead Appraisers, and subject matter experts representing diverse industries and geographies, with additional input from approximately 100 companies through structured community and internal reviews. The significant expansion of AIM content within the CMMI Model extends across all 31 Practice Areas and all eight CMMI domains, with nearly 50% of practices containing AI-specific contextual additions.
As the founding sponsor of the CMMI AI Working Group, IBM Consulting played a key role in supporting the significant expansion of the CMMI AIM Model.
