This exam assesses knowledge and understanding of CMMI AIM, focused on planning and appraising AI capability and Maturity using the MDD, AI Toolkit, and the CMMI Model AIM view.

Yes, Certified CMMI Lead appraisers may submit their application to become a CMMI AIM Lead Appraiser prior to completing CMMI AIM Practitioner training & certification.

What happens after I submit my application?
Each application will be reviewed by the CMMI AIM Lead Appraiser application review committee.
Candidates whose application is not satisfactory will receive directions regarding their next steps.

How do I renew my certification?
CMMI AIM Lead Appraiser certification is valid for three years. To renew, follow steps as outlined in the CMMI Certification - Certified CMMI Lead Appraiser and Instructor Renewal Policy. Individuals are required to maintain CMMI Partner sponsorship, and good standing with CMMI, e.g., no financial or quality issues, lead appraisals in accordance with applicable CMMI Institute policies and the MDD
