Prerequisites:

    • CMMI Practitioner Certification.


What is included?

    • Building Artificial Intelligence Maturity (BAIM) pre-course eLearning.
    • Building Artificial Intelligence Maturity (BAIM) 1-day instructor-led course.
    • CMMI AIM Practitioner Exam credit, valid for 30 days.

Students are advised to enroll 6 weeks prior to listed course date to allow time to complete the BAIM pre-course eLearning, CMMI Model self-study, and BAIM orientation.


Training & Certification Process

 

1. BAIM pre-course e-Learning

Introduction to AI concepts and terminology within the CMMI® Model.

This self-paced module takes 1-2 hours to complete. Students should also review CMMI Practice Areas and AI-related content to prepare for BAIM course.


2. Building Artificial Intelligence Maturity (BAIM) Course

During this one-day training, learn how AI best practices and contexts within the CMMI® Model can:

    • Effectively improve business process and capability in AI initiatives.
    • Identify and address business, social, environmental, and ethical AI risks, challenges and impacts.
    • Enable AI initiatives to continuously improve organizational performance.

Full attendance and active participation in lectures, exercises, questions and discussions are required.

 

Successful participants receive:

    • Building Artificial Intelligence Maturity Completion Certificate.
    • CMMI AIM Practitioner Exam credit, valid for 30 days after training completion.


3. CMMI AIM Practitioner Exam

This assessment will evaluate participants CMMI-AIM knowledge and understanding, focused on CMMI AI Model components, contexts, and functions.

How do I access the student materials?

These can be accessed via the CMMIinstitute.org dashboard. Student materials, including the pre-course eLearning will be available 6 weeks before the BAIM Course.


The CMMI AIM Practitioner exam cannot be accessed without first completing the BAIM course.


How can I prepare for the Exam?

Review the student materials provided in the BAIM course:

How do I renew my certification?

CMMI AIM Practitioner certification is valid for three years.

    • Renewal involves retaking the CMMI AIM Practitioner exam before the end of the 3-year validity period. This also renews the CMMI Practitioner certification.
    • Lapsed certification validity or renewal exam failure requires retaking the BAIM course.

The CMMI Exam Retake Policy details the requirements and rules for retakes of CMMI certification exams and the fees associated with exam retake attempts.
